Water Conservation Measures Ended
The voluntary water conservation schedule has been declared over as of September 22, 2023.
Voluntary Water Conservation
We are experiencing Stage One Drought Conditions, which requires us to take proactive measures to mitigate its effects. To address this situation, we are implementing our Drought Contingency Plan, which includes a Voluntary Lawn Watering Schedule aimed at reducing water usage. Starting today, August 4, we ask all residents to abide by the following schedule:
Odd-Numbered Addresses: Lawn watering between 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM on odd-numbered days of the month.
Even-Numbered Addresses: Lawn watering between 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM on even-numbered days of the month.
By adhering to this voluntary schedule, we can collectively reduce our water consumption and minimize strain on our water sources. If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact City Hall at281-471-2244. The City of Shoreacres receives our water from the City of Houston Water Purification plant through the City of La Porte. We belong to the La Porte Area Water Authority which help to set these “trigger points.”
