The community pier in the City of Shoreacres is operated by the Shoreacres Recreation Association, Inc. (SRA) and is not a city owned asset. The SRA is a member owned entity and is governed by a Board of Directors elected by members in good standing on the annual Pier Key Day, which is a date used to pay the annual membership fee. Locks are changed yearly on this date and members exchange their old keys for new ones at the time of membership renewal.
The current board members as of May 2021 are:
|Board member||office||Date elected||end of term|
|Mark Gonzales||Appointed by board||6-26-2021|
|Rene Halbardier||Vice President||7-25-2020||6-25-2022|
The land that the SRA uses in Miramar Park is leased from the city. The SRA leases water access for the pier from the Texas General Land office. Click the links below to view the leases and the SRA’s governing documents as presented to the city.
