      Mayor and Council,

      I will be requesting that we put a resolution our May 12 agenda that we consider a resolution instructing the city to survey our residents to determine their satisfaction regarding the level of service that Decker & Decker is providing our residents. To my knowledge, this type of survey has never been done since Decker & Decker was awarded the contract in Sept 2016. The city has renewed their contract twice since the original contract and I am assuming that other than price, the contract terms have not changed.

      I believe we need to progress with this clause of their contract:

      Early Termination of Contract: During the term of this agreement, City may from time to time conduct resident satisfaction surveys to determine whether Contractor is providing an adequate level of service to City residents. Should any such survey during the term of this agreement determine that over 50% of Surveyed residents are not satisfied with the level of service that Contractor is providing, the City shall notify Contractor in writing of steps needed to improve the level of service. If Contractor fails to make any changes deemed necessary as a result of the survey within (15) days, City shall have the right to terminate this Contract with no further obligations to Contractor upon thirty (30) days’ notice.”
